Love in Bloom
Every 14th February, as we walk our way to school, vendors are posted in front to sell flowers or balloons to give to teachers, classmates, friends and loved ones. VAletines day is the day where we express heartfelt emotions, gratitude, and appreciations to the ones we love. This day serves as a beautiful reminder to cherish and celebrate the bonds we share.
Valentine's Day can be traced back to ancient Roman times when festivities were held to honor Lupercalia, a fertility festival. Over time, the holiday evolved and gained its association with romantic love and affection. The popular belief is that the day is named after Saint Valentine, a Christian martyr who defied Emperor Claudius II's ban on marriage. Saint Valentine became a symbol of love and devotion, and his feast day, February 14th, eventually became Valentine's Day.
Everybody can spend Valentines day with anybody close to their heart, whether frined, family, partner or even yourself, what's important is to celebrate love and its many forms.
Valentine's Day has come to represent various kinds of love, even though it is frequently connected to romantic relationships. A lot of individuals use this time to show their friends, family, and even their pets how much they appreciate and care for them. The day now includes self-care and self-love, serving as a reminder of how vital it is to look after our own happiness and well-being.
Though I didn't receive any gifts nor flowers this valentines day, I am glad to have spent it with ones i cherish the most, and the ones close to my heart.
Valentine's Day should not limit us to just one day of love; rather, it should serve as a reminder to cherish and celebrate love. It is essential that we daily work on fostering love and gratitude in our relationships. To deepen the ties that bind us together, we should incorporate acts of compassion, honest communication, and love into our everyday lives.
Valentine's Day serves as a lovely reminder of the value of emotional expression and the strength of love. The significance of this day is to honor the individuals we care about, whether you observe it conventionally or in a different way. Not just on this day, but all year long, let's use Valentine's Day as a catalyst to promote love, kindness, and compassion. Love is, after all, a language that transcends all bounds.
